5th Anniversary of HMI

This week, we celebrated the 5th anniversary of the Health Management Institute, z.u. 🎉

Five years ago, we set out on a journey with a simple idea: that better data and smart technologies can save lives and help people stay healthier for longer.

Over the past five years, we have built the RES-Q platform RES-Q Registry of Stroke Care Quality for monitoring and benchmarking the quality of care and gradually expanded it into other areas, including pre-hospital care through the EMS module and rehabilitation.

Today, the platform remains at the core of what we do, while new tools for healthcare professionals and patients are being developed around it. With 2,900 hospitals participating, RES-Q is now used in 98 countries worldwide and contains more than 1,5 million patient records.

But after five years, our perspective has become much broader. We are looking for new ways to improve care for people affected by stroke, raise awareness, and help change the way we as a society understand stroke and its impact.

Through our patient-focused projects Aktivně po mrtvici and AfaSbor, we want to help people with personal experience of stroke return to active life. With FAST Heroes, we bring stroke awareness to kindergartens and schools, teaching children how to recognize the signs of stroke and why it is so important to act quickly.

We also believe that a healthier society is not created by one big step. It is built gradually – through small but meaningful changes grounded in data, science, education, and collaboration. This is also why we are involved in the Vědou ke zdraví project.

None of this would be possible without our amazing team, our partners, and the trust of hospitals and healthcare professionals around the world, as well as our key partners, the World Stroke Organization and the European Stroke Organisation.
