Research and data

We lead applied research in stroke and health system improvement. By turning data into evidence-based insights, we help hospitals and policymakers make smarter decisions. Real-time data drives action and better care.

RES-Q Publications

The RES-Q platform is one of the world’s largest stroke quality registries, used in nearly 100 countries. It enables hospitals to collect standardized data in minutes and compare treatment performance at local, national, and global levels. Insights from RES-Q have already led to dozens of peer-reviewed publications, driving improvements in stroke care worldwide.

Student Stays and Theses

We collaborate closely with universities to involve students in real-world health research. Through study stays, internships, and thesis projects, students gain hands-on experience in data analysis, health policy, and patient-centered outcomes research. Their work contributes to scientific publications and supports the improvement of healthcare systems.

Turning Research into Public Knowledge

We believe that research should benefit everyone. By translating findings from high-impact scientific journals into clear and accessible language (Czech), we make medical knowledge understandable to the public. This helps strengthen health literacy and counter misinformation, ensuring that science truly improves everyday lives.

What Data We Collect

RES-Q gathers high-quality, patient-level stroke care data across the full care pathway — from pre-hospital through acute, post-acute, and rehabilitation stages. We focus on key performance indicators, enabling hospitals to monitor their care quality and receive actionable feedback via dashboards and downloadable reports.

Policy

We strictly comply with GDPR and applicable national data-protection laws. Data use is based on legitimate and public interest grounds, and hospitals are responsible for following their own regional consent regulations. Data is securely stored and accessible only by authorized parties, including the submitting hospital, the RES-Q Global Scientific Committee, and approved researchers.

Data Opened for Research

Researchers may request access to data under the oversight of the RES-Q Global Scientific Committee. Access is granted only after review, ethics committee approval, and signing the appropriate data-use agreements.
