Czech Regions Recognized as Golden Regions by ANGELS for 2024

We’re proud to share that five Czech regions have been awarded the prestigious Golden Region status by the ANGELS Initiative for 2024! This recognition is given to regions that meet all key criteria for excellence in stroke care: comprehensive stroke center coverage, high-quality emergency medical services, outstanding acute care, and active participation in the FAST Heroes awareness campaign.

A big thank you goes to Zuzana and Lucie, whose dedication and coordination ensured strong engagement from schools and children across the regions. Their work was instrumental in meeting the criteria for FAST Heroes participation.

We also want to acknowledge the ongoing efforts of everyone involved in RES-Q, which plays a vital role in assessing and improving the quality of stroke care in hospitals.

Special thanks to the CNS Stroke Section Committee for supporting hospitals in achieving the necessary improvements where needed.

To put this achievement into perspective: 14 regions in Italy missed out on the Golden Region title solely due to lower FAST Heroes participation. This highlights just how crucial public engagement and awareness are to advancing stroke care.
