🏆 The Moravian-Silesian Region Receives Angels Region Award – and We Were There to Witness It!

On Wednesday, June 25, the FAST Heroes team attended the official ceremony where the Moravian-Silesian Region was presented with the prestigious Angels Region award. This recognition is granted by the Angels Initiative to regions that demonstrate outstanding stroke care 🏥 while actively raising public awareness about stroke symptoms and the correct response—among other efforts, through the FAST Heroes campaign.

The Moravian-Silesian Region is the third out of five regions in the Czech Republic 🇨🇿 to receive this honor—and one of only 33 awarded regions globally 🌍. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the regional authority, emergency medical services, local stroke centers, and Mgr. Helena Skutková and Mgr. Pavla Petková from Prameny Primary School, who received an award on behalf of their school for their active involvement in stroke awareness.

The Moravian-Silesian Region has long been among the top regions in terms of the number of schools participating in the FAST Heroes program. The event was held in a respectful and celebratory atmosphere and served as a reminder of the high standard of stroke care in the Czech Republic—and of the vital role public health education plays in saving lives.
