A stroke can happen suddenly — and a quick response from people nearby often determines the outcome and long-term consequences. ⏱️
That is why it is so important to recognize the main warning signs of stroke:
🔎 F – Face - Facial drooping or asymmetry.
💪 A – Arm - Weakness or numbness in one arm or leg.
🗣️ S – Speech - Sudden speech difficulties, slurred speech, or trouble understanding others.
🚑 T – Time - Time is brain. If you suspect a stroke, call emergency services immediately.
But stroke is not only an acute medical event. For many people, it marks the beginning of a long journey — rehabilitation, returning to daily life, coping with fatigue, speech and movement difficulties, mental health challenges, and the support of loved ones. ❤️
European Stroke Day reminds us of two important things:
✔️ Recognizing stroke symptoms early can save lives.
✔️ Long-term support after stroke helps patients regain control of their lives.
At Health Management Institute, z.u. , we are committed to improving stroke care — from enhancing stroke care quality 📊 and raising awareness 📚 to supporting post-stroke patient initiatives 🤝
